Hindi Vendors in Istanbul

In the narrow streets of old Istanbul it was a daily ritual to hear street vendors selling tomatoes, vegetables, yogurt, brooms, and, yes, sometimes turkeys. The birds were de-plumed and presented to the lady of the house to be cooked as that night’s gourmet dinner. Here I am, the turkey seller with my flock.
