Opus 430, “Pearls in Clouds”

Cano has adopted different techniques here, placing island-like forms against soft greens and pinks…for an atmospheric background which updates Impressionist effects.  Richly variegated pastels define clouds, while white pearls appear calming.  Aegean topography is suggested by the rising levels of translucent glassy materials allied with acrylic skins. As Cano goes through extreme changes of mood, he needs such effects.
