One of the most striking flower/vase compositions suggested to Cano’s very vivid imagination, this boldly energized profusion of leering flowers and creeping vines can hardly qualify as a still- life. There are dissonant sprays of paint and a bursting plethora of floral undulations. Neither the pink backdrop nor a dark crisscross vase tone down this madcap display. Only the black frame exerts a modicum of control.
